Tovven

Tovven found a trail sign

pointing backward.

BACK

Tovven turned around.

Another sign.

BACK

Tovven turned around

again.

Same tree.

Different squirrel.

The squirrel held

up a tiny sign.

BACK

Tovven turned around.

A mushroom was

waiting.

It pointed forward.

Tovven followed it.

Three steps later—

tiny footprints.

Tovven looked

at its feet.

Still attached.

Mostly.

Sometimes forward

sneaks up from behind.
